Hello, this is Diana Leafe Christian, publisher and editor of Ecovillages Newsletter.


I'll be traveling to Israel and Europe this summer. My purpose is to learn about Israeli and European ecovillages, write newsletter articles, show my Ecovillage Slide Show, offer workshops on starting successful new ecovillages or on effective comunity dynamics, and . . . have a wonderful time!

* June 7 - July 1: Israel Lead instructor in EDE (Ecovillage Design Education) cours at Kibbutz Hukuk near the Sea of Galilee. Sponsored by Israel Permaculture Organization. Here is the website of the Israel Permaculture Organization (in Hebrew).

* July 7-13: Portugal Attending GEN-Europe Conference at Tamera Ecovillage, 7/7-11, and GEN-Europe Annual General Assembly, July 12-13. Here's the webpage for the GEN-Europe Conference 2011.

* July 15-17: Austria Speaker and workshop presenter at Austrotopia, annual gathering of the Austrian Ecovillage Network, at Lebensraum Gänderndorf, the first cohousing project in Austria, near Vienna. Here is the webpage for Austrotopia 2011 (in German).

* July 22-24: Germany Offering a workshop for Lebensdorf, a forming ecovillage in Freiburg in southern Germany. Here is the webpage for that workshop (in German). (Scroll down to the workshop date.)

* August 15-17: Germany Sitting in on and presenting Ecovilage Slide Show, and maybe also my Ecovillage Timeline Game, at the EDE Training of Trainers at Ecovillage Sieben Linden, Poppau, in northern Germany. Here is the webpage for this EDE Training of Trainers.)


I also hope to visit other ecovillages in Germany, and in northern Italy, France, Denmark, and the UK. If you'd like me to do a presentation at or your ecovillage or organization in Europe, please let me know.
